Small Business Assistance Grants

Mecklenburg County will be offering the following Small Business Assistance Grant opportunities, with the application period beginning on September 1, 2026:

• Business Growth Grant – To help you with general business needs, this grant offers up to $50,000 of 1:1 matching funds for a one-time expense. There will be 4 grants awarded.
• Commercial Property Demolition Grant – Turn a shabby structure into a showplace—helping to revitalize Mecklenburg County’s commercial corridors. There will be 2 grants awarded.
• E-Commerce Grant – Helping your business establish or enhance its virtual presence so you can reach more customers, therefore creating growth opportunities. There will be 2 grants awarded.
• Home-Based Business Transition Grant – Your home-based business was cozy, but now you’re bursting at the seams. We’re here to help you move into a commercial location. There will be 2 grants awarded.
• Tourism Development Fund – A Mecklenburg County Tourism Zone Incentive
